Asianet marks the Jayanti of B.R. Ambedkar on April 14 with some special shows. At 07.00 is a special ‘Suprabhatam' and at 11.30 is the comedy telefilm ‘Ayyo Pavamm Kariyachan.' ‘In Harihar Nagar' is the movie at 09.00 and at 12.30 is the Jayaram-starrer ‘Kanakasimhasanam.' At 15.30 is ‘Lollipop' starring Prithviraj, Jayasurya, Bhavana and Roma.

Vishu special shows
This Vishu (April 15), ACV has a variety of specials shows to celebrate the day. A documentary on five famous Vishnu temples of central Kerala will be telecast at 09.30. Share Vishu memories with singer Madhu Balakrishnan at 11.30 and chat with Rima Kallingal at 12.30. Mohanlal-starrer ‘ Manichithrathazhu' will be telecast 14.00. A tete-a-tete with Harisree Asokan is at 17.00. ‘Thanthrikam' is a glimpse into the life the of Chennas thanthris – the priests of Guruvayoor temple, at 17.30. At 18.30 is a chat with up-and-coming star Dhanya Mary Varghese. The movie ‘ Daya' starring Manju Warrier is at 22.05.
Asianet's Vishu specials begin with ‘Bhagavamritam' at 05.45 followed at 06.15 by ‘Muktisagaram.' The works of famous poets are picturised in ‘Ardhaneelima' at 06.45 and the poems are rendered by G. Venugopal. Listen to what the astrological charts say in ‘Vishupahalangal' at 07.00. At 16.00 is a special episode of the comedy reality show ‘Comedy Stars' and at 21.00 join actor Suresh Gopi and the contestants of ‘Idea Star Singer' for a special episode. There is also a tête-à-tête with Meera Jasmine and K.S. Chitra at 11.30, and interviews with Mohanlal, Jayasurya, Kavya Madhavan, Gopika and Roma. This Vishu catch the première of the movies ‘Samasthakeralam P.O.' starring Jayaram and Priyanka at 09.00, ‘Ivar Vivahitarayal' starring Jayasurya and Bhama at 12.30 and ‘Bhramaram' starring Mohanlal and Bhumika Chawla at 18.00.
Asianet Plus' celebrations begin at 06.00 with ‘Plus Show.' The travelogue ‘A walk with Subaida' is at 06.30. ‘Devasangeetham' at 07.00 has Vishu devotional songs and ‘Vishu Sadya' at 07.30 highlights the importance of Vishu.
At 08.00, listen to Vishu special songs and at 08.30 watch television star Sreekala cook her favourite Vishu dishes. ‘Ponkani' at 09.00 features dance, music and mimicry. The telefilm ‘Oridathum' is at 13.00. ‘Hridayaragam' with evergreen film songs is at 14.00 and at 15.30 check out the latest Vishu releases. At 17.00 is an interview with actor Prithviraj. The ‘Comedy Show' follows at 17.30 and at 18.00 is ‘Kanikanum Neram.'
The movies for the day are Priyadarshan's National Award winner ‘Kanchivaram' starring Prakash Raj at 10.30 and ‘Arabikatha' starring Sreenivasan at 19.30.
