Mattoruval

(Surya TV, weekdays, 20.30)

Star of the silver screen Vani Viswanath plays the lead in this mega-serial, which begins on March 22. It is based on the novel ‘Mattoruval' by S. Sreedevi. T.S Saji is the director and Jose Allepey wields the camera. Srinath, Kalasala Babu, Shajin, V.K. Baiju, M.R. Gopakumar, Manka Mahesh also star.

Ormachitram

(Manorama News, weekdays, 20.30)

It's a journey through some of the landmark films of Malayalam cinema. It traces the origins of the films from conception to release, peppered with anecdotes from the cast and the crew and scenes from the films themselves. Dipthish is the producer. The repeat of the show is on Tuesdays at 23.30, on Fridays at 11.30 and Saturdays at 14.30.

Rim Jim

(Asianet Plus, Sundays, 19.00)

Bubbly playback singer Rimi Tomi hosts this chat show. Celebrities from the film fraternity, politicians, fellow singers and so on have participated in this show.

Mahabhagavatam

(Asianet, weekdays, 18.00)

Incidents from the Mahabharata are highlighted in this devotional serial, which is all set to complete 400 episodes.

In addition to the main storyline, a number of sub-plots from the epic (especially tales from the ‘Krishnaleela') are also serialised in this show. Sharath, Balaji, Sreekala, Ambili Devi, Kochu Preman and Edavela Babu star in the show.

This serial narrates the tale of the notorious ‘Five Fingers,' a group of teenagers consisting of Rahul Krishna, James Albert, Samkutty, Mridula Mohan and Nancy. They are the school troublemakers but when it comes to studies, cultural activities or sports there is no one who can defeat them. The serial is directed by Sujith Sundar.

Freedom fighter Kunjali Marakkar braved the might of the Portuguese colonial forces and his detractors in the struggle for freedom. The serial, which chronicles the life of this legend, completes 50 episodes.

Get a behind-the-scenes glimpse into a family of celebrities in each episode of this chat show. Each member of the featured families is a high achiever in his or her chosen field.
